Employee Relations and Labor Relations

Employee Relations provides guidance and support for workplace matters that help foster respectful, productive and legally compliant work environments. This unit assists employees and managers with workplace concerns, employee performance, conflict resolution, conduct matters and other employment-related issues.

Labor Relations oversees the university's relationship with its collective bargaining units by administering collective bargaining agreements, supporting labor-management partnerships, advising on contract interpretation and executing CSU Chancellor’s Office guidance in labor relations matters. Together, these teams partner with employees, managers and union representatives to support a positive and effective workplace.

Employee Relations

Access guidance and resources for conduct matters, labor compliance, employee performance and workplace concerns. The team also supports conflict resolution, faculty and staff organizations, personal information management and official conduct-of-concern (OCC) processes.

Labor Relations

Find information and guidance on collective bargaining agreements, labor-management relations, union matters and contract interpretation. The team partners with campus leaders and union representatives to foster collaborative labor relations and support contract compliance.

Whistleblower Complaints

Report suspected improper governmental activity or retaliation and learn about the university's whistleblower process. The team helps ensure concerns are reviewed promptly, fairly and in accordance with CSU policy and applicable laws.

Performance Management

Access resources, forms, timelines and guidance for staff and management employee performance evaluations. The team supports employees and supervisors in completing evaluations that promote accountability, professional growth and effective performance management.
