Dr. Yuan earned her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida in 2021, where her doctoral training focused on multisensory integration in speech perception in noise. She then completed 3 years of postdoctoral training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, with an emphasis on auditory electrophysiology and neurophysiology. In Fall 2024, Dr. Yuan joined San José State University and founded the Multisensory Integration and Neurocognitive Dynamics (MIND) Lab.
