Biography

Kelly Brennan, Au.D., is a clinical audiologist. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the UC San Diego and San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program. Dr. Brennan has more than 10 years of private-practice experience in the diagnosis and management of hearing loss as a California-licensed dispensing audiologist. Her clinical expertise includes comprehensive audiological assessment and the treatment of hearing loss through hearing aids and amplification. Evidence-based practice, patient education, and counseling are central to her approach to hearing healthcare. In her private-practice clinical work, she has also served as a preceptor for doctor of audiology students, mentoring them as they develop hands-on clinical skills and gain experience providing patient care.

Dr. Brennan joined SJSU as part-time adjunct faculty in 2024 and has taught courses in amplification, adult auditory rehabilitation, audiological assessment, and anatomy and physiology. She is passionate about bringing her clinical experience into the classroom and preparing future audiologists to provide skilled, thoughtful, and patient-centered care.

Outside of audiology and teaching, she enjoys scuba diving, playing board games, listening to audiobooks while doing chores or taking walks, and going to the theatre.
