TES (Transfer Evaluation System)

TES (Transfer Evaluation System) is an online database that contains catalog information, including course descriptions, from colleges and universities throughout the United States. TES also provides previously evaluated equivalencies for transfer courses, helping students determine how coursework from institutions outside the California Community College system may transfer to San José State University.

TES is primarily used by:

• Students transferring from U.S. colleges and universities outside the California Community College system who want to research how their coursework may transfer to SJSU.
• Current SJSU students planning to take courses at another college or university and looking for previously evaluated course equivalencies.
• Prospective transfer students and academic advisors seeking course descriptions and previously evaluated transfer credit information to support academic planning.
