Suggest Changes to Policies

Any verified member of the SJSU community (i.e. any individual with MySJSU login credentials) can use this referral submission form to submit a policy referral to the Academic Senate.

A referral is a formal request asking the Academic Senate to do policy work; this could be modifying, amending, updating, or rescinding an existing policy; or it might be a request to create a brand new policy where none currently exists. (At SJSU, university policies are crafted, debated, and voted on in the Academic Senate; policies that are passed by the Senate go forward to the University President for final approval.) 

Once completed referrals have been submitted through the form, they will be reviewed by the Senate Office; approved referrals will be entered into the Senate's referral tracking spreadsheet and forwarded on to the appropriate policy committee.
