Peer Mentorship

ESSC Peer Mentorship Program aims to help undergraduate students in their development by being matched with a graduate student to promote personal, career, social, and academic engagement.

Academic Notice

Students receive a hold on their account when they are on Academic Notice. ESSC provides help with Academic Notice from the University and in the Major.

Student Academic Success

Frosh and sophomore BME, EE, ISE, ME, students are assigned a Student Academic Success Specialist (SASS) for major advising.

DQ/Reinstatement

Students who are academically disqualified should email success-engineering@sjsu.edu to make an appointment with an advisor.

Experience via CPT & OPT

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) are  temporary employment authorizations for F-1 international students allowing off-campus work experience.
