Curriculum

Our curriculum revolves around the creation of new content (or Intellectual Property) for Animation: short films, pitching decks, games, etc. Our curriculum aims to support and enhance our students' efforts by blending content development, artistic skills, and digital technology courses. All courses are hands-on and project based, with broad opportunities for collaboration and creativity.

Year one introduces students to new ways of thinking about storytelling, characters, visual styles, and content development. Students will explore and deepen ideas for their master’s project, defining its topic, characters, content, approach, and stylistic direction. In the second semester of ear one students will be working on their Master Projects, while taking courses in visual development, character animation, and other techniques.

Year two places a significant emphasis on our student’s master’s project production. This effort will be supported with a series of seminars and studio courses, which will inform and enhance their projects output. Our “Professional Practices” course offers opportunities for pairing students with industry professionals, for one to one mentorships on thesis projects.
