• Course Components & Classifications. A course is designated a course components & classification code to describe the mode of instruction, enrollment, and the Weighted Teaching Units (WTU) to be assigned to the instructor responsible for the course.
  
  
• Course Number.
  1) utilize the course filter at catalog.sjsu.edu in the "Course Descriptions" section for courses with the desired prefix or subject to confirm the course number is available;
  2) view Course Numbers for information on numbering standards.
  
  
• Course Learning Outcomes. Strong and assessable Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are connected to course assignments/requirements.
